A dental bridge can replace one or several adjacent missing teeth. A bridge is comprised of prosthetic teeth with a dental crown on either side. These crowns cover the healthy natural teeth on either side of the gap, anchoring the bridge in place.
Bridges are typically made of porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. They are a durable and effective way of restoring your smile and chewing ability. They also help to support the neighbouring teeth, preventing them from drifting into the gap.
If you opt for a dental bridge, your dentist will begin by reshaping your anchor teeth under a local anaesthetic. Then they will take an impression of the area and send it to an external laboratory to have your bridge made. You will be fitted with a temporary bridge to protect your prepared teeth.
At your follow-up appointment, your temporary bridge is removed and your permanent bridge fitted, adjusted and cemented in place.

Very pleased with Elm Dental Surgery! For over 10 years - excellent care. Professional and Friendly
I've been scared of the dentist for a very long time, but toothache forced me to make an appointment. A friend recommended Elm House to me and I'm so glad she did. The dentist I saw today was so patient and kind, explaining everything perfectly. Actually all the staff were great, including the receptionists. I will definitely go back and I will be recommending to my friends and family. Thank you Elm House, my faith has been restored.
